SYNTHETIC RESEARCH PRETEST · N=200
Mixed-gamble acceptance
Prospect theory evaluates gains and losses relative to a reference point, with losses often carrying greater psychological weight. Here, the potential loss stays at 100 yuan while the gain rises from 100 to 200 yuan. The comparison examines increased compensation, not a loss-aversion coefficient.
Design and results
Synthetic responses followed the predicted direction. This is a directional description, not a matched human-participant test.
| Group | n | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Gain 100 / lose 100 | 100 | 10 |
| Gain 200 / lose 100 | 100 | 27 |

Data and review
Downloads contain synthetic responses. Keep the questionnaire version, codebook and provenance label when analysing them.
Limitations and source
These results can help test questionnaire materials, branching and analysis workflows. They do not estimate human-population effects or replace human validation.
